Padel is relatively young sport, invented in Acapulco, in Mexico. In 1965 Don Enrique Corquera decided to build the tennis court on the small part of his land.
As he didn ´t have enough space and there were walls on the borders of the land, he decided to build the smaller court and integrate the walls into the court.
There was a wire fence on the sides of the land. The walls and the fence avoided the ball to go out of the court. Tha ball was always in the game.
Padel expanded to Argentina, a lot of public courts where built .
At the moment it is the most popular sport game in Latin America and expanded to Spain, where padel is more pupular than tennis .
It is second most popular sport after football In Argentina . It is played in 30 countries of America, Africa, Europa and Asia.
